Craftsmanship and safety standards set Sunlighten apart. We are the only manufacturer with ETL certification. ETL-certified components are installed, including wiring and electronics. A third-party company has tested our VOC levels to find only trace levels with no airborne metals, sulfur dioxide, or carbon black.

Our saunas are made with 100% premium wood throughout the entire cabin – no hidden plywood. All wood is ¾” tongue-and-groove for greater strength and durability. Extensive third-party testing has been conducted to ensure all our materials are safe and non-toxic.

Patented Heating Technology

Sunlighten’s patented SoloCarbon® infrared heating technology defines us. It’s the “sun” in Sunlighten saunas…without the UV, of course. To stimulate health benefits, saunas need a source to emit high concentrations of peak infrared waves—not just heat. Sunlighten’s heating technology delivers the highest quantity and quality of infrared available for you to feel better and do more.

With custom, you have the option of Sunlighten’s patented SoloCarbon far infrared and full spectrum heaters providing additional far, mid and near infrared wavelengths.

ADA Compliant (upon request)

Your Sunlighten account manager will work with your general contractor to ensure your sauna is 100% ADA compliant. This includes ensuring the floorboards are installed flush to the adjoining floor or omitted or include a 1:12 ramp with safety rails and brushed finish to prevent slipping.

The door will be configured to allow full wheelchair access with a 36” door and an easy-pull handle with 60” x 60” turning space. There are multiple bench variations to meet ADA requirements, including no benches, a half bench, or a full bench option. The Sunlighten control panel can be placed at mid-level to accommodate access while in a wheelchair.

Water-Resistant Cover

1 year warranty covers the fabric becoming unserviceable due to normal usage and exposure conditions (including sunlight, mildew and atmospheric chemicals). Consumer is responsible for normal care and cleaning of the fabric.
Optimal Wood Care

Sunlighten uses the highest quality wood. Minor dents, scratches, and scuffing are normal and do not affect the sauna’s integrity or operation.

Variations in the color or grain, and irregularities such as fine cracks, are not considered defects. During normal operation, wood may crack due to climate changes, which will not affect structural integrity.

Prior to shipping, all wood material is inspected for consistency, color and quality. Slight blemishes, scratches, or scuffs can happen in transit. Exterior blemishes can be concealed by using a small amount of furniture polish, oil, or other furniture treatment. Interior blemishes, scratches, or scuffs can be either left alone or sanded. Avoid treatments with benzene or high alcohol concentration.

Outdoor Use

If the sauna is placed outdoors, you must use your (sold separately) sauna cover’s plastic sheet for additional water protection or the warranty will be void. The waterproof

cover's roof fabric resists water penetration, but the sides are sewn to acrylic canvas. Place the plastic sheet directly over the sauna roof before installing the cover. Elevate the cover with an object to ensure water runoff. The cover must always remain on the sauna, including when in use, to prevent water damage. Failure to do so will automatically void the warranty.

Warranty Disclaimers

Warranty covers normal use for the product’s lifetime, defined as seven years. This includes replacement parts only and excludes costs or freight for parts shipped beyond 90 days from delivery. Labor and technician costs are not covered.

Sunlighten warrants the sauna to be free of material and workmanship defects. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and ends if ownership is transferred. The sauna must be purchased and used within one year of its manufacture date. The customer is responsible for all freight charges, including parts shipped for servicing the sauna.

This warranty is void if the sauna is altered, misused, abused, exposed to water, insect/rodent infestation, or if it is not plugged directly into the required dedicated electrical wall outlet (using a power strip, extension cord, or converter is prohibited). Deviating from published instructions or using a non-dedicated circuit voids the warranty. This covers manufacturing defects only and does not include damage from mishandling.

Sunlighten is not liable for loss of use or other incidental or consequential damages. Sunlighten and its representatives are not liable for injury or property damage. Specifications may change without notice.

It is reassuring to have third-party testing verify claims, and Sunlighten is committed to providing that as part of our safety process and quality control.

Ultra Low EMFs

It's true some products produce EMFs and smart consumers are concerned about minimizing exposure. At Sunlighten, we want to eliminate the concern about EMFs in our saunas, and have made mitigation a top priority. As a result, Sunlighten saunas produce almost no EMFs, a fact validated by the world’s foremost EMF testing experts who tested our saunas. Their report shows that Sunlighten heater panels measure 0.5 mG, less than 1 mG! That is lower than 95% of most common household devices. It’s the latest and most current testing so you can rest assured your infrared sauna is safe from EMFs.

Breathe Easy: Low VOCs

Sunlighten saunas offer exceptional air quality, verified by third-party tests. Volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) are chemicals commonly found in many home building and maintenance products. Once these chemicals are in our homes, they are released into the indoor air we breathe. Sunlighten hired APEX Environmental Consultants to conduct air quality tests on a sampling of our saunas during a session. The results confirmed that Sunlighten’s saunas contain only trace levels of various VOCs. No airborne metals, sulfur dioxide, or carbon black were detected. “The air quality in the tested saunas should be considered excellent and provides a good example for the industry to follow.”

ETL Certifications

You’d never buy an electric oven or other home appliance without knowing it met all safety and performance standards. Buying an infrared sauna shouldn’t be any different. Before buying a sauna, be sure it carries the appropriate safety certification. Sunlighten saunas have been tested and approved by numerous safety agencies and are ETL-certified.
